Ricky Rapper and the Wild Machine
In this performance based on Tiina and Sinikka Nopola’s play Ricky Rapper and the Wild Machine, Ricky ’s story is brought to life through dance for the very first time!
The gentle humor of the Nopola sisters once again shines in this dance theatre production, created through contemporary dance, ballet movement, and mime.
The elements of dance theatre—movement, music, and mime—along with projected environments and spaces on stage, create a comprehensive artistic experience for young audiences.
The performance also serves as an excellent conversation starter about the use and rules of computer games and mobile devices.
The piece premiered on September 10, 2022, at Dance theatre Raatikko in Vantaa. It was produced in collaboration between Ballet Finland, Dance theatre Raatikko and Willman Dance Company.
