Mikko Väärälä is a composer, musician, and sound designer from Turku.
He has created music and soundscapes for numerous contemporary dance pieces, theater and circus productions, and short films during his nearly 30-year career. As a multi-instrumentalist with classical percussion training, he has played in various orchestras and ensembles, from symphony orchestras to Afrobeat bands. Currently, he works as a percussion teacher at the Turku Conservatory.
