Two new producers - Anita Parri and Asta Elijoki
Three dance actors from Helsinki have joined forces and got two joint producers

Willman Dance Company and Power of Dance festival, together with Ballet Finland and Katve [Blind Spot] Company, have hired two joint producers. Shared production and communications professionals provide the organisations with administrative support, help develop each group’s activities, and strengthen the distinctive artistic profiles of the companies. Cultural producers Anita Parri and Asta Elijoki have been selected as the joint producers for the dance organisations.
Parri is an event and cultural producer specialised in performing arts. She has previously worked as Head of Production at Second Theatre, Executive Producer at New Theatre Helsinki, Producer of the Performing HEL showcase, and Producer of the Dance Info Finland Russia Programme.
Elijoki is particularly known as a producer of contemporary dance and a communications professional. She has previously worked as Communications Manager at Dance Theatre MD, Producer–Communications Officer at the Eastern Finland Regional Dance Centre, Producer at Dance Theatre Minimi, and as a freelance producer for independent performing arts groups.
The producers will support the dance organisations’ application processes, coordinate calendars and productions, and develop the groups’ communications. Elijoki will focus especially on communications and marketing, while Parri will work primarily on pre-production and improving mobility. The resources enabled by the producers particularly support the artists’ work but also the continuity and growth of the groups’ activities. The producers bring significant added value to each group and enable more efficient use of resources.
The producers will concentrate especially on Willman Dance Company’s communications and premiere productions and on strengthening the Power of Dance festival. The hiring of the producers has been made possible by a special grant awarded to organisations by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland.
